Job Title: Backend Engineer Location: Toronto, ON Work Arrangement: Hybrid (2-3days WFO) Employment Type: Contract Domain: BFSI Duration: 6-12 Months Hourly rate :-CAD 51-53/hour Application Deadline: Aug 15h, 2026 SKILLS REQUIRED Experience 6-8 years of backend engineering experience. Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services and APIs. Build scalable and high-performance microservices and distributed systems. Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and QA engineers to deliver features. Optimize application performance, reliability, and security. Design and manage databases, including schema creation and query optimization. Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions. Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices. Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis. Support CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
