Job Title: Mainframe Modernization Lead Location: Toronto, ON Work Arrangement: Hybrid-2 Days onsite Employment Type: Contract Duration: 12 Months Domain: BFSI Pay Rate: CAD 50-56/hour Incorporated Application Deadline: Aug 30th, 2026 SKILLS REQUIRED 8+ years of hands-on experience in IBM Mainframe application development and support with strong expertise in COBOL, PL/I, JCL, CICS, DB2, VSAM, TSO/ISPF, and z/OS. Strong experience in Mainframe modernization initiatives, including migration strategies, refactoring, and legacy application transformation. Proficiency in designing and integrating REST APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures with Mainframe applications. Hands-on experience with Git, GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices for source code management, automated deployments, and release management. Experience working with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure and AWS, supporting hybrid cloud integration and modernization of Mainframe workloads.
