We are currently recruiting a Operator/Labourer to assist our Construction division with fast-paced, challenging general contracting projects (multi-storey, mixed-use, commercial and institutional) that are shaping the Edmonton Skyline! The Operator/Labourer will report to the Site Superintendent. Perform site preparation activities, including excavation support, grading, material distribution, and site cleanup. Load, unload, move, and organize construction materials, tools, and equipment. Assist with the installation and removal of temporary site infrastructure, including fencing, hoarding, signage, and protection systems. Support carpenters, concrete crews, equipment operators, and other trades as required. Perform demolition, cleanup, and waste management activities. Assist with earthworks, landscaping, and exterior site development activities. Conduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance or repair requirements. Maintain accurate records related to equipment operation, inspections, and maintenance. Follow construction drawings, site plans, and supervisor instructions. Identify and report unsafe conditions and participate in site safety initiatives. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Working Conditions Long term, steady, year-round work Overtime for those who want it Two paid 15 minutes breaks and one ½ hour unpaid lunch break per day Working at heights Qualifications Minimum 2 years of experience in commercial, industrial, institutional, or multi-family construction considered an asset Experience operating construction equipment in a commercial construction environment. Valid driver's license. Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment. Strong understanding of construction site safety requirements. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Requirements Ability to perform physically demanding work in varying weather conditions. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg) regularly. Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, kneel, crouch, and work on uneven terrain.
