POSITION OVERVIEW: Position: Lead Security Operations Dispatch Centre Operator City: Toronto Status: Full -Time Hours: Mon to Fri 0700-1500 Pay Rate: $24.40/hr Internal Opening Date: August 18th 2026 Internal Closing date: August 25th 2026 External Closing Date: September 14th, 2026 JOB DESCRIPTION: In this key role, you will oversee the Security Operations Centre (SOC) within a Government of Ontario facility. You will monitor security systems, coordinate security personnel, and support emergency response activities. Monitor and operate access control, CCTV, fire and life safety systems Dispatch and coordinate security personnel and calls for service Operate two-way radios and manage communications Coordinate emergency response and incident management Monitor alarms, incidents, and suspicious activities Maintain logs, records, and incident documentation Review CCTV and access control reports as required Respond to incoming calls, emails, and security inquiries Issue visitor, contractor, and access badges Provide excellent customer service to staff, visitors, and contractors Support and direct security personnel during routine and emergency situations This site is a Government of Ontario Building. QUALIFICATIONS: Valid Ontario Security Guard License Valid First Aid, CPR, and AED Certification Post-secondary education in Security, Law, Criminal Justice, or related field preferred Minimum 3 years of security experience in a commercial, institutional, or government environment Previous supervisory or leadership experience Experience in a Security Operations Centre or Control Centre Working knowledge of access control, CCTV, and life safety systems Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to make sound decisions in emergency situations Legally authorized to work in Canada WHY CHOOSE PALADIN? Requirements
