The Palliative Institute is committed to alleviating suffering for patients and their families by supporting excellence in palliative and end-of-life care. We are a research and educational institute within Covenant Health focused on helping Albertans make informed choices about palliative care and advance care planning. We aim to serve as a knowledge broker and problem solver for patients and families, clinicians, policy makers, caregivers and researchers and to lead informed public conversation about palliative and end-of-life issues.

Operating Room Technician

The LPN-ORT functions in scrub and circulating roles within a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic care in a surgical setting. Responsibilities include the assessment, planning, and implementation of patient care across various surgical specialties.

Health Care Aide

The Health Care Aide provides direct personal care and health support services to patients in accordance with documented care plans. They monitor health status changes and support the physical, emotional, and psychosocial well-being of clients within an interdisciplinary team.

Nuclear Medicine Tech I

Perform routine nuclear medicine procedures and attend to the diagnostic and therapeutic needs of patients. Ensure all services are provided according to established standards and organizational policies.

Dietitian I

The Dietitian I is responsible for assessing, implementing, and evaluating nutrition care for residents, including those with dysphagia. The role involves developing nutrition care plans and acting as a liaison to Nutrition and Food Services.
