Title: Textile/ Leather Cutting Machine Operator - Evening Shift Department: Cut & Sew Employment Type: Full-Time/Permanent Location: Winnipeg, Manitoba Who Are We? EQ3 Ltd. is currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Textile/ Leather Cutting Machine Operator. The successful candidate will be part of the Textile cutting team and contribute to the efficiency of our sewing operation. What Would You Do? EQ3 Ltd. is currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Sewing Machine Operator. The successful candidate will be part of the Cut & Sew team and contribute to the efficiency of our operation. The duties and responsibilities of this position would include: Set up and operates automated cutting machine to cut assorted materials, such as fabric, leather, vinyl, linings and fibre. Read and comprehend 2D assembly and part drawings, requisition order, select appropriate materials to fulfill work orders based on drawings, BOM and inventory locations. Able to identify correct napping of the textile and/ or lining materials. Able to measure the length and width of the material to be used. Able to correctly use the proper cutting tool, such as type of cutting blade, punch, drawing tools. Able to inspect material for defects as it is being rolled out (shading, flaws, etc.).Reporting and Coordination. Log material usage and lot number into log database for month end inventory report. Coordination with sewing teams and other departments such as R&D, P&S, etc. Converting necessary files to be able to cut in the machine using Optitex Marker program. What Do You Bring? Strong communication skills and the ability to learn quickly. Computer skills and the ability to learn quickly. Attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills. Understanding different fabrics/leather and their properties. Attention to detail: High precision to follow patterns and maintain quality standards. Responsible and safe work habits. Be a team player. Able to troubleshoot basic machine faults. Strong work ethic and positive team attitude. Flexible and available for scheduled overtime. Understanding different fabrics/leather and their properties. Requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multi-limb coordination. Capable of lifting, carrying, and maneuvering: 60 lbs. (27.2 kg) from the floor to waist; 60 lbs. (27.2 kg) from waist to shoulder; 60 lbs. (27.2) above the shoulder. Why Work with Us? What you’ll do

Requirements
Candidates must have a strong understanding of textile properties, computer literacy, and the ability to lift up to 60 lbs. High precision, attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot basic machine faults are required.
