We’re seeking a Driver to join the team at our Westerleigh PARC community in West Vancouver. About working at PARC As a PARC Driver, you’re a key member of our Active Living team, helping our residents stay healthy, self-reliant, and engaged. You pay an essential role by providing safe, professional and courteous transportation for residents on scheduled and unscheduled trips. As a PARC Driver you are responsible for: * Driving residents to points of local interest, appointments, shopping, and other destinations as requested. * Operating the vehicle in a safe and courteous manner, obeying all traffic regulations. * Completing a vehicle inspection at the beginning and end of each shift, and reporting any safety concerns to the manager on duty. * Physically helping residents in and out of the vehicle. * Keeping track of residents on outings, and ensuring everyone gets back to the residence safely. * Running errands for residents at the direction of the management or reception team. * Assisting residents with booking trips using iPhone and Microsoft Office Outlook calendars. * Cleaning and tidying the vehicle. * Other duties that support the team and operation. It takes a special kind of person to work here – does this sound like you? * You have a Class 4 unrestricted licence, permitting the operation of a multi-passenger van, with at least three years of Class 4 driving experience. * You have an excellent driving record with zero points over the last three years, and are insurable at regular rates. * You have a Grade 12 education, or equivalent, and you’re comfortable using an iPhone or tablet for scheduling. * You’re attentive, professional and a customer service star, who can communicate tactfully and respectfully with residents and the public. * You understand and respect the needs of seniors, their families, and and other professional services engaged with our residents. At PARC Retirement Living we require a Criminal Record Check, and a TB test within the first month of employment.

Requirements

Candidates must possess a Class 4 unrestricted driver's license with at least three years of experience and a clean driving record. A Grade 12 education or equivalent is required, along with strong customer service skills and the ability to use mobile technology.
