Job summary

Park Paving Ltd. has been locally owned and operated for over 50 years as one of the largest road construction contractors in Edmonton, and we are looking for an BASE CREW FOREMAN to work with our company's Base division for the upcoming 2026 road construction season. This is a seasonal position that offers competitive wage with benefits. This includes the use of a company truck to and from work, and for all other company business. The primary duties for this position will include, but are not limited to: Placement and construction of gravel road base structures Measure and order materials for daily requirements Maintain time and material records necessary to complete daily job costing Directly supervise, educate, and train employees Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures Adhere to all company policies and provincial regulations for safe working procedures and environment Perform daily field level hazard assessments in compliance with company policies Ability to discuss and plan daily project procedures/goals with fellow personnel to maximize productivity and workmanship Check to make sure that equipment functions properly Any labour or equipment operator tasks normally associated with road construction Requirements All successful candidates must: Have 2+ years of experience in leadership role within roadbuilding industry Have an understanding of the construction industry and road construction specifications and standards Must be able to check grade and efficiently Display a professional and courteous approach with co-workers, supervisors, and the public Must be physically fit - repetitive bending, lifting, kneeling, walking for long periods of time Be able to work in inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt Punctual and able to work full time, overtime, and weekends Ability to run grader, loader, skid-steer, and packing equipment Benefits Competitive Wages/Salaries Health & Dental Benefits * Vision Benefits * Life Insurance * RRSP Matching* Profit Sharing* Opportunities for advancement Company Social events Successful candidates will also possess the interpersonal skills needed to take direction and coordinate their efforts with their crew and foremen, while maintaining a positive and respectful work environment.
