Position Summary: Reporting to the Service Manager, the Oil Heating Technician/Oil Burner Mechanic will be responsible for safely completing service, maintenance and installations for oil heating equipment. This is a temporary Seasonal role. Key Responsibilities: Install oil burner components such as nozzles and fuel pumps Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning oil equipment, their components and controls Replace oil tank accessories such as tank gauges, fill pipes, oil line and deaerators. Perform scheduled maintenance service on oil heating equipment Test installed units and adjust controls for proper functioning; Administrative duties such as ordering parts, completion of work orders and invoicing, and assisting with shop related duties Other duties as required Qualifications and Skills: Minimum of Class 5A license with a clean drivers abstract Red Seal Oil Heat Systems Technician license Knowledge of CSA B 139 Oil Codes Strong mechanical aptitude Excellent interpersonal skills with proven leadership ability This position is a safety sensitive and will require pre-employment testing Flexible working hours including overtime is required Safety at Sunoco We are committed to ensuring a safe work environment that protects our employees, customers, and the environment.
