Parkland School Division (PSD), with our central office located in Stony Plain, AB serves as the public-school authority for approximately 92,000 residents and approximately 12,500 students, across a mix of urban and rural communities. Our learning community includes 23 schools in both Treaty No. 6 and Treaty No. 8 territory, serving the communities of Spruce Grove, Stony Plain, Parkland County, Fort Chipewyan, Paul First Nation, Athabasca Chipewyan First Nation, Mikisew Cree First Nation, and Fort Chipewyan Métis. Enrolment growth necessitates additional learning space, and we are excited for the capacity opportunity that the newly constructed Westview School, in Stony Plain, will provide to our students and families. Provide instructional and personal care support to K–9 students, individually and in groups, under teacher direction. Assist with behavior management, student supervision, learning plans, therapy programs, classroom preparation, and communication of student observations.

Support students in a kindergarten classroom through individual and small-group instruction, implementation of learning plans, behavior support, and personal care. Monitor and document student progress and health needs, assist with classroom preparation and activities, and supervise students during school and community activities.

Deliver small-group or one-to-one literacy and numeracy interventions for students in Grades 1–5, and prepare and organize intervention materials and schedules. Communicate with teachers about student needs and progress, document learning through observation, supervise students, and travel to division sites as required.

Support teachers with classroom instruction, student supervision, behavior management, and implementation of individualized learning plans. Assist students with personal care, mobility, communication, therapy activities, and daily living skills, while recording observations and communicating relevant information to teachers.

Teach modular CTS Communication Technology courses across introductory, intermediate, and advanced levels, using hands-on, project-based instruction and digital media tools. Assess and support diverse learners, maintain a safe and well-managed lab environment, communicate with families and colleagues, and guide student projects and community media activities.

Provide individual counselling and mental health interventions for students experiencing social, emotional, behavioural, or wellness challenges, including crisis support and suicide risk intervention. Coordinate with families, school staff, community agencies, and the Division Psychologist to plan referrals, support student wellness, and respond to risk concerns.

The administrator is responsible for the timely and accurate processing of payroll and benefits for up to 1,200 employees. This includes managing pay adjustments, maintaining employee master files, and ensuring compliance with collective agreements and government legislation.
