Your Role As the General Labourer, the successful candidate will support the team in organizing grain loading to maximize terminal efficiency and profitability. The position will require the safe operation of equipment for receiving and shipping food quality grain, adhering to quality control procedures, inventory control and plant maintenance. Day to Day Assist in loading/unloading of trucks/vessels/railcars and follow loading instructions and forms. Assign commodities to storage locations in operating system; retain processing and shipping samples for customers. Assist with maintenance and cleaning of facility. Contribute to general elevator operations. Provide excellent customer service and abide by shipping schedule. Identify and troubleshoot problems with equipment and machinery. Qualifications Previous experience in a general labour role, specifically in agriculture and/or terminal or marine operations is a plus. Grain handling and storage knowledge is an asset. Valid G driver’s license. Proficient in basic computer operations, with the ability to quickly adapt to new software. Ability to lift heavy materials repeatedly (up to 50lbs) and work in a variety of weather conditions. Ability to work extended hours and weekends if required.
