YOUR TEAM Grain & Crop Inputs: The Grain & Crop Inputs Division connects Canadian farmers to markets across the country and beyond. With a network of grain elevators, terminals, and agri-retail locations, we provide crop inputs, agronomic solutions, and grain marketing expertise to help producers succeed. THE ROLE As the Grain Originator, the successful candidate will complement the high-volume contracts of the Merchandising department by developing and maintaining relationships with key grain producers and dealers. They will gain market information for producers and source grain to satisfy P&H’s export and domestic customer needs. DAY TO DAY * Identify business opportunities with producers and dealers * Negotiate contracts with producers and dealers on the purchase of grain * First point of contact for purchasing and delivery of grain * Meet with producers face to face to prospect for new business, nurture relationships, and collect grain samples * Update producers on market information * Review grain marketing programs * Provide the P&H Merchandising team with grain market information from producers and dealers WHAT YOU’LL BRING * Post-secondary education considered an asset * Experience in sales, with preference given to candidates with sales experience specific to the grain industry * Strong sales techniques and negotiation strategies * Exceptional customer service, relationship building and networking skills * Proven ability to meet sales targets and close deals * Available to travel periodically * Microsoft 365 Application Suite (Word, high proficiency in Excel) * Valid driver’s license WHY JOIN US At P&H, our people are our priority.
