Start here: Grain & Crop Inputs | Parrish & Heimbecker [https://parrishandheimbecker-ag.com/] THE ROLE As Lab Technician Assistant, the successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the various tests and procedures required to accurately grade the quality and condition of grain samples for growers, traders and P&H’s various facilities. This position will assist the Quality Control Manager and Lab Technicians with additional duties as assigned. The Lab Technician Assistant is a full time, contract role. You must be available to work from August to December 2026, Monday to Friday starting at 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. with occasional overtime or weekend hours. DAY TO DAY * Preparing various samples for analysis and testing * Reporting/logging detailed results of tests and samples * Performing maintenance checks on equipment and log maintenance activity WHAT YOU’LL BRING * Accuracy and attention to detail * Ability to identify and solve quality issues * Willingness to learn * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Flexible work schedule * Effective communicator both written and verbal * Knowledge and basic comprehension of lab terminology is an asset * Knowledge of basic testing procedures and equipment is an asset * Education in agriculture, science and/or food science would be an asset APPLY TODAY! The Lab Technician Assistant is responsible for preparing and testing grain samples to grade quality and condition. They also perform equipment maintenance and log detailed results for the Quality Control Manager.

Candidates should possess strong attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and within a team. While not mandatory, education in agriculture, science, or food science and knowledge of lab procedures are considered assets.
