We are seeking a dedicated Criminal Defence Lawyer, with a minimum of 4 years experience, to join our growing practice. Position Summary The successful candidate will have a minimum of four (4) years of experience practicing criminal law and will handle a diverse caseload. The role involves managing files at all stages, from intake and bail to trial and sentencing. Responsibilities Represent clients in criminal matters including bail hearings, trials, guilty pleas, and sentencing Appear regularly before the Ontario Court of Justice and, where applicable, the Superior Court of Justice Conduct legal research and prepare Charter applications, motions, submissions, and trial materials Draft clear and persuasive legal documents, including pleadings and written arguments Negotiate with Crown and Provincial Prosecutors to achieve favorable outcomes for clients Maintain consistent, professional communication with clients and provide strategic and timely legal advice Work collaboratively with other counsel and legal support staff Qualifications Member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario Minimum four (4) years of experience practicing criminal law Demonstrated courtroom and trial experience is a must Strong oral and written advocacy skills Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage a busy caseload independently Compensation & Work Environment Compensation: $120,000.00- $150,000.00 Job Type: Full-time, permanent Work Arrangement: in office, with flexibility How to Apply Please submit a cover letter and resume/CV.
