*Job Overview* We are seeking a reliable and motivated *Cook* to join our team preparing nutritious, large-scale meals for schools across Prince Edward Island. This position focuses on consistent, high-volume food production that supports student health and wellness. *Key Responsibilities* * Prepare and cook large-batch meals following established recipes and nutrition guidelines. * Ensure meals meet food safety and quality standards (HACCP, Public Health regulations). * Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment. * Portion, package, and label meals for delivery to schools. * Work efficiently to meet daily production schedules and deadlines. * Deliver meals to schools * Collaborate with kitchen staff and management to ensure smooth operations. *Qualifications* * Previous experience in a commercial or institutional kitchen * Strong knowledge of food safety standards and safe food-handling practices * Ability to follow standardized recipes and manage batch cooking. * Capable of working independently and as part of a team. * Physically able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs. * Valid Drivers License Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $17.00-$19.00 per hour Benefits: * Dental care * Extended health care Work Location: In person
