What You'll Do As a Carpenter, you'll play a key role in restoring residential and commercial properties damaged by fire, water, storms, and other disasters. You'll work alongside Project Managers and Reconstruction teams to deliver exceptional workmanship and customer service. Your responsibilities will include: Performing all aspects of residential and commercial carpentry, including: Framing Drywall installation and repairs Finishing and trim work Doors Flooring Cabinet installation Minor concrete work Completing reconstruction projects to Paul Davis quality standards, project specifications, and Alberta building codes. Reading and interpreting drawings, scopes of work, and work orders. Identifying deficiencies or changes in project scope and communicating them promptly. Maintaining clean, safe, and organized job sites. Operating and maintaining company vehicles, tools, and equipment. Mentoring apprentices and labourers while promoting safe work practices. Providing exceptional customer service while interacting professionally with homeowners, business owners, subcontractors, and teammates. Completing daily documentation, time records, and material tracking accurately. Participating in an on-call rotation and occasional overtime when required. What We're Looking For Alberta Journeyman Carpenter Certificate (or recognized equivalent) is an asset. Minimum 3+ years of carpentry experience (restoration experience is an asset). Strong knowledge of residential and commercial construction practices. Working knowledge of Alberta Building Code. Valid Driver's Licence with a clean driver's abstract. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding work. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
