Role Description The Litigation Paralegal will work full time on-site at Pax Law Corporation’s North Vancouver, BC office, supporting lawyers in civil and other litigation matters. Day-to-day responsibilities include drafting and formatting legal documents, organizing case files, preparing court forms, and managing deadlines and hearing dates. The role involves conducting legal research, reviewing and summarizing evidence and disclosure, assisting with the preparation of pleadings and motions, and coordinating with clients, experts, and court staff. The Litigation Paralegal will help maintain accurate records, support trial preparation, and ensure compliance with court rules and firm procedures while contributing to efficient, client-focused case management. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong skills in legal document preparation and document review. Candidates should possess solid legal research abilities, including case law, statutes, and procedural rules. Candidates should possess experience assisting with pleadings and motions in civil or other litigation matters. Candidates should possess proficiency with case management systems and standard office software (e.g., MS Office, PDF tools). Paralegal diploma, certificate, or equivalent legal training; prior litigation paralegal experience is preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and strong organizational abilities. Ability to manage multiple deadlines, work collaboratively with legal professionals, and uphold confidentiality and ethical standards. Familiarity with BC court procedures and rules; multilingual abilities are considered an asset.
