The company manages and administers a wide range of mortgages on behalf of its investor base. Bonus target 20%, some travel to various sites required. Role Description The Asset Manager – Real Estate Holdings & Development is a full-time hybrid role based in Ancaster, ON, with flexibility for partial work from home. This role is responsible for overseeing a portfolio of real estate assets tied to mortgage investments, including monitoring performance, identifying value-add opportunities, and supporting strategic development initiatives. Day-to-day tasks include analyzing property-level financials and market data, coordinating with brokers, legal counsel, property managers, and other stakeholders, and recommending actions to optimize asset performance and mitigate risk. The role involves preparing regular asset and portfolio reports, supporting underwriting and due diligence for new investments, and contributing to the planning and execution of development or repositioning strategies. The Asset Manager will also assist in refining internal processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory and corporate policies, and supporting senior leadership with data-driven insights. Qualifications Strong analytical and financial skills, including experience with real estate cash flow analysis, budgeting, and performance reporting. Knowledge of real estate asset management, mortgage administration, and private lending practices, with the ability to interpret legal and transactional documentation. Proficiency in using spreadsheets and asset management tools for modeling, tracking, and reporting real estate investments. Effective communication and relationship-building skills to collaborate with investors, brokers, legal professionals, and internal team members. Organizational and project management abilities to handle multiple properties and development initiatives, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines. Post-secondary education in finance, real estate, business, economics, or a related field; additional real estate or financial certifications are an asset. Experience in commercial or residential real estate asset management, development, or mortgage lending is preferred. Demonstrated ability to work in a hybrid environment, taking initiative and operating with a high level of integrity and attention to detail.
