Peace Country Rentals & Sales Inc. is seeking an experienced Shipper/Receiver & Parts Person to join our team in Fort St. John, BC. We are looking for someone who brings a strong background in parts, shipping and receiving, inventory control, or warehouse operations and is comfortable working independently in a fast paced environment. This position is best suited to someone who already understands the fundamentals of parts and inventory operations and can step into the role with a strong skill set. Part Technician Apprentices will be considered as long as Shipping/Receiving experience requirements are met. We are looking for a suitable fit and invite those interested in the position to apply. What You'll Be Doing The successful candidate will be responsible for a combination of shipping, receiving, inventory, and parts support, including: Receiving, inspecting, and processing incoming parts and shipments; Verifying shipments against purchase orders and identifying discrepancies; Preparing and coordinating outgoing freight and shipments; Picking, organizing, and preparing parts for internal and external requirements; Maintaining accurate inventory records and appropriate stock locations; Assisting with inventory counts and investigating discrepancies; Locating and identifying parts using electronic catalogues, supplier resources, and internal systems; Communicating with suppliers, couriers, customers, and internal departments; Assisting with parts inquiries, sourcing, and order processing as required; Maintaining an organized and efficient shipping, receiving, and inventory area; and Supporting the day-to-day needs of the operation. What We're Looking For We are particularly interested in candidates with: Previous parts, shipping/receiving, or inventory experience; Experience working with heavy equipment, agricultural, industrial, or construction parts; A good understanding of shipping, receiving, inventory, and parts processes; Experience using inventory, ERP, or parts-management systems; The ability to identify, locate, and source parts with minimal supervision; Strong computer and data-entry skills; Excellent organization and attention to detail; Strong problem-solving skills and initiative; The ability to prioritize tasks in a busy environment; A valid driver's licence; and A demonstrated ability to work independently while contributing to a team. Parts Experience & Certification A Red Seal Parts Technician certification is a strong asset and experienced Parts Technicians are encouraged to apply. We will also consider candidates who have significant hands-on parts experience without a Red Seal designation. For candidates who have already developed a solid foundation in the trade and are interested in completing their Parts Technician apprenticeship, there may be an opportunity to continue working toward certification.
