Job summary
Brand & Community Engagement Manager Full-Time | $60,000–$72,000 + Benefits | Vancouver, BC On-site | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM Pear Tree School is looking for a Brand & Community Engagement Manager to help build trust with families—from their first inquiry through to long-term satisfaction, advocacy, and referral. This is not a conventional marketing role. We are not looking for a graphic designer, social-media specialist, or someone whose idea of marketing success is simply producing more posts. We are looking for a strong communicator and relationship-builder who also thinks in systems: someone who can use technology, automation, data, family feedback, and great storytelling to improve how prospective and current families understand and experience Pear Tree. What You'll Do You will: Communicate with prospective families by phone, email, and digital channels, supported by an established CRM-based lead-nurturing and automation system. Monitor how well that system is working, using engagement data and family feedback to identify communication gaps and evidence-based opportunities for improvement. Help create useful content that answers recurring family questions and builds understanding and confidence. Gather and use parent feedback, testimonials, reviews, success stories, and referrals to strengthen family satisfaction and advocacy. Create strategic brand content, primarily for Instagram, our blog, email newsletters, and other school communications. Identify and amplify the strongest stories emerging from student learning and school life rather than producing content simply to fill a posting schedule. Build relationships with community organizations and potential referral partners. Represent Pear Tree at school functions, and selected community events. Help ensure routine family communication is handled effectively without unnecessarily requiring the Principal's involvement. Our technical systems are maintained by specialists. Your job is not to become a CRM developer or manually perform work that automation can do well. Who We're Looking For You are someone who: Communicates exceptionally well in writing, by phone, and in person. Builds trust naturally and enjoys working with families. Thinks in systems and enjoys finding better ways of doing things. Uses evidence rather than personal preference when recommending change. Is comfortable with CRM systems, automation, AI tools, and performance data. Can recognize a compelling story and communicate why it matters. Is commercially aware without being pushy. Takes ownership and follows through. You should have 3+ years of relevant professional experience in an area such as customer success, relationship management, admissions, community engagement, consultative sales, brand communication, or CRM-supported marketing. Experience in education, independent schools, referral programs, customer experience, marketing automation, community partnerships, or content/storytelling is useful but not essential. This Role May Not Be For You If... Your main interests are graphic design, photography, video production, paid advertising, or managing a social-media posting calendar. Those skills may occasionally support the role, but they are not its purpose. The outcome that matters is family trust. Compensation & Benefits Salary: $60,000–$72,000 per year, depending on experience and capability. Benefits include extended health and dental coverage, life insurance, long-term disability, AD&D, daily chef-prepared hot lunch, on-site parking, company events, and substantial time off aligned with the school calendar. This is a full-time, on-site position at our Kitsilano campus in Vancouver. Some evening or weekend attendance is required for occasional school or community events. Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada. Employment is conditional on a satisfactory criminal record check. About Pear Tree School Pear Tree School provides progressive, applied education that combines academic, social-emotional, physical, creative, and ethical development through interdisciplinary, real-world learning. We are looking for someone who wants to help families understand and appreciate that value—and who wants to create leverage, not busyness. How to Apply Please submit your resume and a cover letter. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until we find the right person.
