Journeyperson Carpenter – Nunavut Penn-co Construction, a leading construction company, is seeking Journeyperson Carpenters to join our team for projects in Nunavut. Job Duties Build and/or assemble concrete forms and place concrete using rakes, screeds, and trowels Framing, including walls, doors, and windows Exterior finishing including siding, fascia, and soffit Place and tie rebar Operate hand and power tools Lead and mentor co-workers All other carpentry duties as required and assigned by supervisor Requirements Red Seal certification required Must be able to pass a criminal record and vulnerable sector check Excellent communication and teamwork skills with the ability to lead a team Ability to read building specifications and blueprints Mathematical skills The care and effort required to maintain quality workmanship, minimize deficiencies and maintain Penn-co’s reputation in the industry An understanding of safe work practices Experience working in or with Indigenous communities; cultural awareness and respect are essential Must be willing and able to travel to remote project locations Rotational schedule is 21 days on, 7 days off.
