Job summary
As a DME (Durable Medical Equipment) Respiratory Therapist, you will specialize in providing respiratory care services and equipment to patients in the home, outpatient, skilled nursing facilities, and remote/virtual settings. You will educate patients on the proper use and maintenance of respiratory related devices such as, but not limited to, CPAP/BIPAP machines, invasive and noninvasive ventilators, suction units, cough assists, and chest vests. Key roles include equipment setup and education, patient assessment, troubleshooting, device maintenance, compliance monitoring, response to hospital discharge requests to support patient needs in the home, maintaining accurate documentation of your work, and perform other duties as required. You will often collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure optimal respiratory care for the patient in the home care setting. On Call expectation: 1 week of call in a current 4–5-week rotation (this is subject to change). $1,500 SIGN-ON/RETENTION BONUS AVAILABLE FOR QUALIFIED CANDIDATES*** Qualifications Associates or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy Active state license RRT/CRT from the NBRC (National Board of Respiratory Care) Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Hold a valid driver's license Strong communication skills verbally and written Independent clinical assessment, and knowledge of durable medical equipment. Possible travel to other branch locations for coverage if needed (compensation provided). Preferred Qualifications 2+ years of respiratory therapy Experience with remote and independent work Experience with or the ability to learn cloud-based sleep solutions such as Airview, Care Orchestrator, and Multi-view connect. Requirements
Requires an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy, an active state license, and RRT/CRT certification from the NBRC. Candidates must hold a current BLS certification and a valid driver's license.
