The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and production equipment to ensure efficient plant operations. Key Responsibilities Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial electrical systems and equipment. Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and PLC-related issues to minimize equipment downtime. Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on production machinery. Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals. Install, test, and commission motors, drives, sensors, control panels, and electrical components. Troubleshoot motor controls, VFDs, relays, contactors, and electrical circuits. Support production by responding quickly to equipment breakdowns. Perform electrical inspections and ensure equipment complies with safety regulations. Work closely with maintenance and production teams to improve equipment reliability. Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete work orders. Follow all Health & Safety policies, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, and electrical codes. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to increase equipment efficiency. Knowledge of press operations and manufacturing equipment is considered a strong asset. Qualifications Valid 442A Industrial Electrician, Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Experience with PLCs, VFDs, sensors, and automated production equipment is an asset. Ability to read electrical drawings and technical documentation. Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs. Familiarity with Ontario Electrical Safety Code and industrial safety standards. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work independently on the night shift. Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. Preferred Skills Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Knowledge of stamping or press operations. Welding or mechanical maintenance experience is an asset. Experience in automotive or metal manufacturing environments is preferred.
