Job summary

We are looking for a senior hardware engineer to help support the design, manufacturing, testing, and debugging of our Software Defined Radios. This position will see you design and develop hardware, carry out initial bring up (including writing hardware drivers for various components), and using test equipment of quantify performance and support debugging. The applicant must be able to write clean, easy to understand code, posses strong logical reasoning skills, and ideally have previous experience in hardware debugging and bring up. Experience using git and Linux distribution is also an asset. The applicant will be working with high performance products in the fields of digital design, microcontroller development, and embedded Linux (including device driver development). Mandatory Qualifications The following experience is required, and should be included with the application; Minimum 4 years of relevant experience Use of standard lab equipment (Oscilloscopes, multi-meter, signal generators, Vector Network Analyzers) Design, integrating, and interfacing to external chip sets, processors, and/or micro controllers in C (including use of SPI/UART/I2C) Programming Experience Hardware or Software debugging Circuit board design (schematic capture/layout) and manufacturing Minimum Experience Experience in three or more of the following areas: Using ADCs or DACs for data collection or waveform excitation. Initial hardware bring up Product quality assurance RF Design and testing Writing technical support documentation, or product conformity / testing reports. Optional Qualifications The following skills are desired but not necessarily required for the position: Familiarity with git version control Software Optimization using profilers Experience working with software defined radios Regularly uses version control Brief knowledge of wireless radio networks Mixed signal board layout and schematic capture Component selection, procurement and BOM management RF fundamentals in SDR devices Open source projects: OpenBTS, UHD Driver, Yocto Project Kernel hacking and PCIe driver development Experience with multipath compensation/rake receivers Experience in development from design to manufacturing Familiarity with phased arrays and their digital implementation Mechanical design Multilingual
