Job summary

Provide individual and group recreational activities that support resident well‑being. Participate in planning, designing, developing, and delivering diverse recreation programs. Assess and provide feedback to ensure programs meet residents' physical, social, emotional, and spiritual needs. Complete documentation using PointClickCare and ActivityPro. Foster a positive, resident‑centred environment and contribute to interdisciplinary teamwork. 2‑year College Diploma in Recreation/Leisure Studies, Gerontology, or equivalent related experience. Previous experience working with individuals with dementia, ideally in a long‑term care setting. Current Food Handler's Certificate, can be obtained during employment. Strong communication skills in English; French is an asset. Ability to work effectively in a resident‑centred long‑term care environment. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to motivate and engage residents. Excellent organization, priority‑setting, and time‑management skills. Highly motivated, detail‑oriented, and skilled in problem‑solving and critical thinking. Ability to build and maintain therapeutic relationships with residents.
