The Welder is primarily responsible for fitting and welding parts and components used in agitator assemblies. This position ensures materials and components meet drawing specifications and quality requirements before, during, and after the welding process. The Welder plays an important role in ensuring finished weldments meet required dimensions, tolerances, and quality standards so they are ready for the next stage of fabrication. Onsite | Full-Time | Brampton, Ontario Job Duties and Responsibilities * Review drawings and specifications to determine welding and fitting requirements. * Confirm that raw and pre-fabricated materials are suitable for the required welding operation. Materials most frequently used include carbon steel and stainless steel. * Fit and position components according to dimensions and tolerances specified on manufacturing drawings using appropriate tools, pins, jigs, measuring devices, and other equipment. * Perform welding operations in accordance with MixPro certified welding procedures and established quality standards. * Verify dimensions throughout the fitting and welding process to ensure accuracy and conformance to drawings. * Inspect completed weldments to confirm they meet specifications and are suitable for the next stage of fabrication. * Identify and address quality or dimensional issues before components proceed to subsequent manufacturing operations. * Follow established manufacturing standards, welding procedures, and safe work practices. * Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area. * Properly use and care for tools, welding equipment, measuring devices, and other assigned equipment. * Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications * Industrial welding certification preferred. * 5–7 years of related welding and fitting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or fabrication environment. * Demonstrated ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings, weldment drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and specifications. * Practical experience fitting components to specified dimensions and tolerances using jigs, pins, tape measures, and other measuring tools. * Experience welding carbon steel and stainless steel. * Strong knowledge of welding operations, manufacturing standards, tolerances, and safe work practices. * Ability to accurately inspect and verify completed work against drawings and specifications. * Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. * Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a manufacturing team. * WHMIS training required. Compensation Hourly Rate: $22 – 28 CAD Compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, and demonstrated skill level.
