🏆 🎗️ Lead Project Controls Planner / Scheduling Lead – Major Capital Projects 🏆 🎗️ An exciting opportunity to join one of the worlds leading gold producers, supporting the successful delivery of major mining capital projects across the country. 🏔️ This is a highly strategic leadership role supporting the Odyssey Project in Quebec, while providing planning oversight and technical leadership across other major capital projects.🗺️ If you're an experienced Project Controls Planner or Scheduling Lead who enjoys building execution schedules from the ground up, mentoring project schedulers, and influencing project success at the portfolio level, this is an exceptional opportunity to make a lasting impact. 🏆 🎗️ Key Responsibilities: 🏆 Lead the development of integrated Primavera P6 execution schedules for major mining capital projects from concept through commissioning. 🏔️ Establish baseline schedules, facilitate planning workshops, and obtain alignment and approval from project stakeholders. 📊 Provide planning leadership and governance across multiple capital projects while mentoring and supporting project schedulers. 🚦 Perform critical path analysis, schedule health checks, and schedule quality reviews to ensure best practices are consistently applied. 📈 Develop medium and long-term forecasts, identifying schedule risks, opportunities, and mitigation strategies before they impact project delivery. ⚒️ Support Project Directors, Construction Managers, Engineering, Procurement, and Project Controls teams with planning expertise throughout the project lifecycle. 🎗️ Review and optimize engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and operational readiness schedules. 🎗️Provide strategic oversight while project schedulers maintain day-to-day schedule updates, look-ahead planning, and progress reporting. 💼 Support resource loading, labour-hour forecasting, and integration with Power BI reporting dashboards. 🛰️ Travel periodically to project sites across Canada to support planning workshops, project teams, and leadership meetings. 🎗️ Your Profile: 🏆 15+ years of Project Controls, Planning, or Scheduling experience supporting major capital projects. 🎗️Strong experience within mining, EPC, heavy industrial, infrastructure, or large construction projects. 📅 Demonstrated success developing complete Primavera P6 schedules from the ground up for large greenfield or major brownfield projects. 📊 Advanced knowledge of Primavera P6 Professional and Primavera P6 EPPM. 📈 Expertise in Critical Path Method (CPM), schedule forecasting, schedule risk analysis, resource-loaded scheduling, and planning governance. 🎗️ Experience leading, mentoring, or providing technical oversight to Project Controls or Scheduling teams. 💼 Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence multidisciplinary project teams and senior leadership. ✈️ Willingness to travel periodically to project sites across Canada. 🎗️Technical Skills: 🎗️Primavera P6 Professional 📊 Primavera P6 EPPM 📈 Critical Path Analysis (CPM) ⚙️ Resource & Labour-Hour Management 📉 Schedule Risk Analysis 📅 Integrated Master Scheduling 📊 Power BI (preferred) 📄 Advanced Microsoft Excel 🎗️ Language Requirements 🇫🇷 Primary Assignment – Odyssey Project (Quebec) Fluent French (spoken and written) is required.
