Our work directly shapes how millions of citizens access care. The Role We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help architect and build the platforms at the core of national health systems. You'll work across the full stack on systems where reliability, security, and data sovereignty are non-negotiable, and where the software you ship serves entire countries. This is a high-ownership role with direct impact. You'll make architectural decisions, mentor other engineers, and work closely with our health and deployment teams to bring platforms live in real government environments. What you'll do Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs for national digital health platforms Work with healthcare interoperability standards, particularly HL7 FHIR Build secure systems that meet strict data protection and sovereignty requirements Contribute to architecture decisions on performance, scalability, and reliability Collaborate with product, clinical, and deployment teams across multiple country programs Mentor engineers and help raise the technical bar across the team What we're looking for 5+ years of professional software engineering experience Strong proficiency in a modern backend language (e.g. Java, C#, Python, Go, or Node.js) Solid experience designing APIs, data models, and distributed systems Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases at scale A strong grasp of security, authentication, and data privacy fundamentals Clear communication and the ability to own problems end to end Nice to have Experience with HL7 FHIR or other healthcare interoperability standards Background in health tech, govtech, or other regulated, high-stakes domains Familiarity with cloud and on-premise deployment models Experience working across multiple markets or with public sector clients

Requirements
Candidates should have 5+ years of professional software engineering experience and strong proficiency in a modern backend language. Experience with healthcare interoperability standards and a solid grasp of security fundamentals are also required.
