Join us in shaping the future of the energy industry! Role Overview Pine Cliff Energy Ltd. is currently accepting applications for a Contract Field Operator for our Viking - Camrose Area. Reporting to the Foreman, the successful applicant will be part of an active team environment responsible for routine field operations. The work schedule will be determined depending on the needs of the operation. The successful candidate will be expected to reside within a 45 minute drive from the Viking Gas Plant. The Field Operator position is responsible for maintaining the field to high health, safety and environmental standards while operating in a cost-effective manner. This position will be required to operate any combination of oil and gas wells or battery / gas compression facilities. Key Responsibilities Monitor wells, facilities and production equipment; Communicate and prioritize field operation requirements; Determine and communicate production problems to support personnel; Maintain accurate production records, including downtime, chemical & water injection reports; Coordinate shut down and startup of wells for well servicing; Participate in monthly safety meetings; Maintain daily log sheets; Assist with engineering strategies to optimize production; Offer trouble shooting and preventative maintenance to fellow operators; Assist with coordinating the chemical program and corrosion monitoring program, including coupons and water analysis; Promote Pine Cliff’s safety and environmental programs and monitor related issues. Qualifications & Requirements Legally entitled to work in Canada with no restrictions. A minimum of 5 years oil & gas battery/gas plant operating experience; A valid Grade 12 diploma; A valid passport and Class 5 Driver’s License; Excellent organization skills and strong verbal and written communication skills; Complete working knowledge of plant, corporate safety and environmental rules, procedures and policies; Excellent decision making capabilities; Working computer knowledge with proficiency in Microsoft Office; A good understanding of necessary software programs such as PVR and Data Works; Current and up to date safety training including First Aid/CPR, H2S Alive and TDG/WHMIS. Preference will be given to applicants who hold a current Fired Process Heater Operator Certificate of Competency or a Fourth-Class Power Engineer’s Certificate of Competency.
