Our company is growing fast, and we are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic team player to join us as a Shop Administrator at our Shop XL in Maple Ridge. This is a Night-Shift opportunity, running from 2 pm to 12 am, Monday to Thursday. Reporting to the Senior Fabrication Manager, the Shop Administrator will support our team by providing administrative support to the PMP Fabrication Facility by managing receiving documentation, placing material orders, preparing shop orders, and supporting safety programs. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Manage and file all incoming and outgoing paperwork related to deliveries, including receiving reports, mill test reports and packing slips. Place material orders based on requests from the Fabrication and Project Management teams. Create and maintain fabrication shop orders and corresponding documentation packages. Participate as an active member of the Joint Occupational Health and Safety (JOHS) Committee. Maintain administrative tracking systems including attendance, logistics, material tracking and internal communication records. Draft internal correspondence, meeting minutes, memos, safety notices, and documentation as required. Assist in scheduling meetings, safety training sessions, and walkthroughs as directed by the Fabrication Team. Work closely with Fabrication Manager, Fabrication Coordinator, Leadhands, and other team members to ensure smooth documentation flow and process support. Support ongoing safety compliance and documentation efforts within the shop. Perform other duties as assigned. Job requirements Minimum 3 years of experience in an administrative role. Previous experience in a construction or fabrication environment preferred. Demonstrated experience in material management and maintaining documentation workflows. Understanding of shop operations and safety documentation Experience participating in or supporting safety committees (e.g., JOHS) is an asset. Skills & Requirements Strong administrative and organizational skills Able to develop & maintain good working relationships with personnel of other departments. Able to communicate clearly and concisely in writing and orally. Detail-oriented Strong interpersonal skills Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks Proficiency in Microsoft Office and cloud-based file management platforms (e.g., Dropbox) Familiarity with construction or fabrication documentation processes Reliable, professional, and proactive Comfortable participating in safety-related initiatives Who are you?
