Job summary
About Pivot Health We’re a small, OT-only practice serving Niagara and Hamilton, with growing interest in the GTA. Our work is varied — community rehab, pediatrics, adult rehab, discharge planning, attendant care, SABS/MVA, medical-legal, and catastrophic assessments. Collectively we bring a broad range of clinical experience, and we really value the work Occupational Therapists do.We also know the right file matters. A good match between therapist, client, and area of practice leads to better work for everyone. We’re thoughtful about what we assign and don’t expect an OT to take on work outside their experience or interests. We’re looking for experienced OTs who already have real strength in a particular area. We don’t need one person who does everything. If you know your area well and care about doing it well, that’s what matters.Pediatrics, ABI, spinal cord injury, complex physical rehab, mental health, discharge planning, SABS, medical-legal, attendant care, catastrophic assessment — or something else that fits. Tell us what you do best. We’d especially love to connect with experienced OTs who live and work in the GTA as we respond to more referrals there. The Role Flexible contract work for experienced OTs in Niagara, Hamilton, or the GTA.You don’t have to cover every region or every service. We’ll shape a caseload around your location, skills, interests, and availability.Work may include assessment, treatment, home and functional assessments, equipment recommendations, discharge planning, attendant care, insurer work, medical-legal assessments, or collaboration with families and teams. You’ll work independently with access to clinical consultation when you want it. We’re a small team and we keep things simple. What We’re Looking For Current registration and good standing with COTO Several years of clinical experience Strong assessment, planning, and clinical reasoning Clear documentation Ability to work independently and collaborate well Good organization and follow-through Professional liability insurance Reliable transportation for community work Working With Us Competitive contract rates and real flexibility around workload. You decide how much you take on, and we match opportunities to your capacity and preferences. Room to think, document properly, and keep life in balance is built into how we run things. If you’re an experienced OT in Niagara, Hamilton, or the GTA with an area of practice you know well, reach out to Kristy at [email protected]. We’d be happy to set up a phone call or grab a coffee to chat about Pivot, learn more about you, and see if it might be a good fit.
