Role Description The Student Volunteer role at pivot is a temporary, on-site position based in Waterloo. Tasks may include supporting program delivery, assisting staff with event planning and logistics, helping organize materials and resources, and engaging with community members in a courteous and inclusive manner. The role may involve collecting feedback from participants, documenting activities, and preparing basic reports or summaries for supervisors. Student Volunteers will collaborate with team members, attend regular check-ins or team meetings, and follow organizational guidelines to ensure a safe and respectful environment. This position offers opportunities to learn about community work, build professional skills, and contribute to impactful projects. Qualifications Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with diverse groups, including community members, peers, and staff. Strong organizational skills, including time management, attention to detail, and the ability to follow instructions and meet commitments. Demonstrated reliability, integrity, and willingness to take initiative in assigned tasks and collaborative projects. Interest in community service, social impact, or working with local organizations and schools. Openness to learning, receiving feedback, and developing new skills in a supportive environment. Current student status (high school, college, or university) or recent graduate, with parental/guardian consent where required by local regulations.
