Accountability: We honour our commitments. ABOUT THE ROLE As an Algorithm Developer, you will join a tight-knit engineering team building the next generation Planix capture system. You will work on the 3D reconstruction pipeline that converts raw sensor data (images, LiDAR, IMU, etc.) into high-quality 3D outputs (photospheres, point cloud, mesh, etc.). You’ll work closely with system engineering, embedded FW, visualization design and draft operation teams to deliver new and improved reality capture capabilities. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Design, develop, test, and deploy 3D reconstruction algorithms. Responsible for optimizing data processing pipeline from photon to mesh. Integrate and align data streams from multiple sensors, including RGB cameras, depth sensors, and GPS/IMU inputs. Scale prototype algorithms into robust, core APIs or production-ready software to be utilized by embedded developers and downstream product teams. Continuous improvements to algorithm accuracy, reliability and efficiency QUALIFICATIONS Technical 3+ years of experience in algorithm development/test/deployment. Sc., M.Sc., or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline. Strong foundation in linear algebra, 3D projective geometry, spatial transformations, and numerical optimization. Proven experience with photogrammetry, SLAM/odometry, point cloud filtering/alignment, and meshing. Advanced coding skills in C++ and Python, alongside experience with computer vision and deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, OpenCV, Open3D). Bonus: sensor fusion (LIDAR/IMU/GPS), Gaussian Splat, NVIDIA Jetson platform. Collaboration & Communication Experience collaborating effectively with team members and other stakeholders to develop concepts from ideation, to launch, to subsequent iteration. Ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where hardware, software and algorithms evolve together.
