Please Beverage Co is looking for a talented, creative, and passionate Head Chef to lead the culinary program at our cocktail tasting room and help shape the next chapter of our local company. We’re building a food program designed for a relaxed, social experience, tapas-style, shareable dishes that pair naturally with cocktails and bring people together. We’re looking for a chef who enjoys creating food that is approachable, thoughtful, and fun, while bringing their own ideas and personality to the menu within a small but efficient kitchen. Must have experience with ordering, supplier relations, tracking cost of goods, menu development and leading teams. The Role As Head Chef, you’ll take ownership of the kitchen and culinary program, working closely with our team to develop menus, maintain high standards, and create an experience that complements our beverage program. Essential Duties And Responsibilities (Including But Not Limited To) Developing and evolving a creative tapas and sharing-style menu, and seasonally changing menus including breakfast, lunch and dinner menus. Creating dishes that pair well with cocktails and tasting experiences. Leading and mentoring the kitchen team. Managing kitchen operations, prep, service, and food quality, including customer relations regarding menu recommendations for large parties. Maintaining excellent standards for cleanliness, organization, and food safety. Managing food costs, ordering, inventory, and minimizing waste. Building relationships with local suppliers and sourcing quality ingredients. Establishing recipes, prep systems, and kitchen procedures. Collaborating with the front-of-house and beverage teams, especially regarding dishes and food running. Helping create a positive, respectful, and collaborative kitchen culture. Participate in the hiring process of all kitchen roles. Address any culinary concerns promptly and professionally. Assist with scheduling. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Motivated to take on new challenges and responsibilities, able to show initiative and adapt to change. Creative and excited about building a food program from the ground up. Comfortable with a fast-paced hospitality environment. Passionate about quality, consistency, and presentation. Organized and confident managing food costs and kitchen operations. A strong communicator and natural team leader. Excited by the idea of working alongside a beverage-focused concept. Comfortable working both independently and as part of a small, collaborative team. Has a flexible schedule and wants to jump right in. Experience with tapas, small plates, cocktail pairings, tasting menus, or modern casual dining is an asset, but we’re most interested in finding someone with the creativity, leadership, and drive to make the role their own.
