Overview Polk Mechanical is seeking a Pipefitter Apprentice to assist experienced pipefitters in the installation, assembly, and maintenance of piping systems while learning the trade. This role requires a strong willingness to learn, follow instructions, and maintain a focus on safety, quality, and teamwork. Responsibilities Assist journeyman pipefitters with installation and maintenance of piping systems Support layout, assembly, and alignment of piping components Read and follow blueprints, drawings, and instructions under supervision Perform basic measurements, material handling, and preparation tasks Assist with cutting, threading, and fitting pipe under guidance Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines Learn pipefitting skills through hands-on training Qualifications No prior pipefitting experience required Previous construction or mechanical experience preferred Valid driver's license preferred Must comply with applicable testing or screening requirements Strong willingness to learn and develop technical skills Basic mechanical aptitude preferred Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision Positive attitude and strong work ethic Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in varying indoor and outdoor environments EEO Disclaimer Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
