We’re looking for an enthusiastic individual in the position of Finishing Worker to join our Finishing Department team within our Barrhead Plant at 6203 46 Street. The schedule is to be determined. Reporting to the Supervisor, Finishing, the Finishing Worker is responsible for product handling on various production lines and monitoring product throughout all processes for conformance to high quality standards, integrity, and customer specifications. Company pension Comprehensive Group Benefits Opportunities for professional development Tuition reimbursement Footwear subsidy program A variety of committee driven employee engagement activities Employee & Family Assistance Program Uniform program Free Parking What You'll Do Work on various positions within finishing lines, slabbing, feeding, gathering, auditing, cartoning, while constantly monitoring product quality Ensure that necessary supplies (boxes, cartons, etc.) are prepared and ready for use when needed Communicate any product or equipment related problems to Manufacturing Operator, Lead Hand, or Supervisor Ensure work area is clean and organized throughout the shift Adhere to all established policies and procedures with respect to Health & Safety, Security, and Operations Who You Are A highly adaptable team player with ability to handle multiple tasks A detail orientated and problem solver Open to new ideas and concepts with an overall positive attitude Punctual and willing to work shift work and overtime on short notice Ability to effectively adapt and re-prioritize work Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 35 lbs (process line) What You'll Bring Grade 12 Diploma or GED equivalent Familiarity working in manufacturing, quality control or production would be an asset Basic computer skills Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally with both co-workers and supervisor Pollard Banknote Limited is an equal opportunity employer, committed to promoting and maintaining a diverse and inclusive workforce.
