Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Area Sales Manager role based in Montreal, QC. The Area Sales Manager will oversee sales activities within an assigned territory, develop and execute sales plans, and manage relationships with existing and prospective customers in relevant chemical and industrial sectors. Daily responsibilities include identifying new business opportunities, conducting customer visits, presenting technical product information, and coordinating pricing and proposals. The role involves close collaboration with internal teams such as technical support, logistics, and customer service to ensure timely delivery, product performance, and high customer satisfaction. The Area Sales Manager will also monitor market trends, prepare sales reports, and provide input into strategic planning and forecasting. Qualifications Demonstrated skills in territory management, account management, and relationship building with industrial or chemical sector customers. Experience in sales planning, pipeline development, and opportunity tracking, with the ability to meet or exceed sales targets. Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, including comfort discussing technical product features and performance. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and coordinate activities across technical, logistics, and customer service functions. Relevant experience in specialty chemicals, raw materials distribution, or related industrial markets is highly beneficial. Proficiency with CRM tools and common office software for reporting, forecasting, and documentation. Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently while managing multiple customer accounts and priorities. Willingness to travel regularly within the assigned territory and occasionally to other company locations or industry events.
