Job Description Ready to build your career? We want to hear from you. We are building a modern data platform to power our Business Intelligence, AI, and analytics initiatives. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will own the data foundation end to end: ingesting from source systems, transforming data into clean and canonical layers, and delivering the reliable, reusable data assets our analysts and BI developers depend on. This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role for someone who enjoys bringing structure and standards to a data practice that is ramping up. What you will do Design, build, and maintain scalable pipelines and data models across the bronze, silver, and gold layers, used by our BI, AI, and analytics teams. Provide the cleaned and transformed data and curated tables that analysts and BI developers use to build their semantic models and dashboards. Engineer source data once into canonical objects that downstream teams reuse, eliminating duplicated per-project loads. Develop and deploy Fabric artifacts (lakehouses, warehouses, notebooks, pipelines, semantic models) across dev, UAT, and prod using Azure DevOps and Git. Maintain legacy Azure Synapse pipelines and lead their migration to Fabric. Apply pragmatic engineering standards for ingestion, transformation, naming, versioning, and documentation, and monitor pipelines for quality, performance, and reliability. Populate technical metadata and lineage in the data catalog in line with our governance standards. This role could be for you if you have Senior-level data engineering experience with a strong generalist mindset, comfortable working across heterogeneous systems and evolving environments. Hands-on expertise with Microsoft Fabric (lakehouses, warehouses, notebooks, pipelines, semantic models) and the medallion architecture. Strong proficiency with Azure DevOps and Git for source control and deployment pipelines. Solid SQL and data transformation skills (data cleaning, incremental/delta loads, curated table design). A good working understanding of downstream analytics, including semantic models and dashboards in Fabric, since you will partner closely with our analytics and BI developers. A practical, flexible approach: you choose the solution that fits the problem, and you bring organization and structure to a data practice that is ramping up. Nice to have Experience with Azure Synapse for maintaining legacy pipelines and supporting migration. Experience with data governance and Microsoft Purview (classification, lineage, cataloguing). Background in construction or construction software. Experience with dbt, and to a lesser extent orchestration tools such as Airflow or Dagster.
