The Role We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer who wants to play a key role in bringing our systems from prototype to deployment. You will contribute to the design, integration, testing, and commissioning of our BESS and microgrid solutions. This is a hands-on, high-impact role with strong growth into technical leadership as the company scales. What You’ll Do Design and develop electrical systems for BESS and microgrids (LV/MV) Select and integrate key components (inverters, protection, cabling, control systems) Support system testing and validation (prototype, FAT, commissioning) Contribute to EMS and BMS integration Ensure compliance with CSA, UL, IEC, and IEEE Troubleshoot and resolve real-world engineering challenges during prototyping and deployment phases Collaborate with mechanical, software, and external engineering partners Support product development, prototyping, and early industrialization What You Bring Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering Mandatory: Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) 5 years of relevant experience (power systems, industrial electrical, or related fields) Solid understanding of electrical systems (AC/DC, protection, controls) Support certification roadmap (SPE-1000, UL 1974, UL 1973, UL 9540) Experience with system integration, testing, or field work is a strong asset Hands-on mindset and ability to execute in a fast-moving environment Strong problem-solving skills and ownership attitude Assets: Exposure to BESS, renewable energy, or microgrids Experience with commissioning or validation Bilingual (French/English) Why Join Us Be part of the transition from prototype to first commercial deployments Work on first-of-their-kind projects in Québec (second-life batteries, microgrids) High visibility and impact on product and engineering direction Equity participation aligned with company growth Small, agile team where decisions move fast and your work matters immediately

The Senior Electrical Engineer will design, integrate, test, and commission Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and microgrid solutions. This role involves troubleshooting real-world engineering challenges and collaborating with various engineering partners.

Requirements

Candidates must have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and be a member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ). A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in power systems or industrial electrical fields is required.
