Job summary
Position Title: Space Planner Location: Bolton, ON(Onsite) Employment Type: Contract, 1 year Schedule: Morning shifts, M - F Compensation: 25/hr Position Overview: We’re looking for a detail-driven and analytical Space Planner to join a dynamic retail team. In this role, you’ll partner closely with Senior Space Planners and cross-functional teams to design, build, and optimize merchandise planograms (POGs) that bring category strategies to life in-store. You’ll play a key role in ensuring planograms are not only visually compelling, but also drive sales, profitability, and an exceptional customer experience. What will you be doing? Design and build high-quality planograms (POGs) using JDA, aligned with merchandising strategy, assortment decisions, and visual standards Capture and translate Innovation Centre layouts into store-ready planograms Analyze planogram performance using sales, profitability, and inventory data, identifying opportunities for optimization Collaborate with merchandising, analytics, and store teams to resolve planogram-related challenges Present recommendations and insights to Space Planning and Merchandising leadership, balancing trade-offs across strategy, operations, and customer experience Adapt assortments into store-specific layouts based on bay count, fixtures, and store environment Conduct quality checks to ensure accuracy against assortment listings and store data Support execution by addressing pre-walk and in-store issues within defined timelines Prepare fixture/steel assemblies where required Contribute to special projects and continuous improvement initiatives that advance space planning capabilities Must haves: 2+ years of experience, ideally within retail or merchandising environments Proficiency in JDA Space Planning software or similar designing tools Strong analytical mindset with experience in Excel and data manipulation High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Strong communication and collaboration skills Experience with MS Access is an asset Post-secondary education (or equivalent experience) in a related field
