Job summary
The Line Leader oversees daily production activities, ensures safe and efficient operations, and leads a team of production employees to achieve quality, productivity, and operational goals. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be the primary point of coordination for production activities on the assigned shift and is accountable for employee performance, process control, and adherence to company policies. Responsibilities Lead daily production operations, including line startup, shutdown, break coordination, and staffing assignments to ensure smooth workflow Oversee, coach, and evaluate production team members to promote accountability, and employee development. Ensure compliance with all company policies, quality standards, TS 16949 requirements, and health and safety regulations. Monitor productivity, quality, and workforce utilization to achieve operational targets and budget requirements. Complete and maintain production, quality, and productivity documentation, reports, and records accurately. Conduct regular team meetings and communicate operational priorities, safety updates, and performance expectations. Promote continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, productivity, cost reduction, efficiency, and workplace safety. Maintain cleanliness, organisation, and housekeeping standards within assigned production areas. Support recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and workforce planning activities. Compensation & Schedule Hourly Rate: $32.00 per hour Shift Differential: $1.02 per hour (midnight shift premium) Shift: Midnight Shift Schedule: Sunday through Thursday, 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM Qualifications Knowledge of TS 16949, IATF 16949, ISO, or other quality management systems. Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies. Familiarity with production planning, labor management, and performance metrics. Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment. Knowledge of production processes, safety procedures, and quality management systems. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in production reporting and workforce scheduling. Education High School Diploma or equivalent a plus.
