A minimum of a Grade 10 diploma from a recognized educational institution as approved by the Board of Education or General Educational Development (GED) A valid Fireman’s certificate if required by legislation Six (6) months experience in a cleaning/caretaking position A working knowledge of computers A valid Class 5 driver’s license Physical Requirements: Good physical condition with the ability to do heavy work is required (i.e., exerting up to 100 lbs. of force occasionally, up to 50 lbs. of force frequently, and/or up to 20 lbs. of force constantly to move objects). The ability to work off lifts, in crawlspaces, attics, roofs, and ladders. Wage & Benefits: In accordance with the current CUPE Local 5512 Collective Bargaining Agreement. Currently, this is a range of $23.26 to $25.67 per hour. The Facility Operator is responsible for cleaning and maintaining the interior and exterior of school division buildings and surrounding grounds. The role involves assisting the Head Facility Operator in general upkeep tasks.

Candidates must have at least a Grade 10 diploma or GED, six months of cleaning experience, and a valid Class 5 driver's license. Physical ability to perform heavy work and work from lifts, ladders, and crawlspaces is required.
