Position: Facility Operator @ King George School Date Posted: September 22, 2026 Closing Date: September 29, 2026 CUPE Posting Number: 62-2026-2027 Position Type: Permanent Start Date: ASAP FTE: .6875 (5.5 hours per day) Hours of Work: 4:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. Duties: The Facility Operator cleans and maintains the interior and exterior of school division buildings and their surrounding grounds and assists the Head Facility Operator. A minimum of a Grade 10 diploma from a recognized educational institution as approved by the Board of Education or General Educational Development (GED) A valid Fireman’s certificate if required by legislation Six (6) months experience in a cleaning/caretaking position A working knowledge of computers A valid Class 5 driver’s license Physical Requirements: Good physical condition with the ability to do heavy work is required (i.e., exerting up to 100 lbs. of force occasionally, up to 50 lbs. of force frequently, and/or up to 20 lbs. of force constantly to move objects). The ability to work off lifts, in crawlspaces, attics, roofs, and ladders. Wage & Benefits: In accordance with the current CUPE Local 5512 Collective Bargaining Agreement. Currently, this is a range of $23.26 to $25.67 per hour. Requirements

Applicants must have at least a Grade 10 diploma or GED, six months of cleaning or caretaking experience, working knowledge of computers, and a valid Class 5 driver's license. A Fireman's certificate is required if mandated by legislation, and the role requires good physical condition and the ability to work in areas such as crawlspaces, attics, roofs, and on ladders or lifts.
