Role Description The Payroll Administrator is a full-time, on-site role based in Red Deer, AB. This role is responsible for processing bi-weekly payroll for employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Day to day tasks include maintaining payroll records, calculating earnings, deductions, and benefits, and managing payroll adjustments such as garnishments and taxable benefits. The role also involves updating payroll systems, various other accounts payable and clerical duties contributing to process improvements, and maintaining confidential information with a high level of integrity. Qualifications Strong Payroll Administration skills, including end-to-end processing and payroll record management. Knowledge of Garnishments and Payroll Taxes, with the ability to apply relevant legislation and ensure compliance. Experience managing Employee Benefits within payroll, including enrollment, deductions, and reconciliation. Accounting skills to support payroll reconciliations, journal entries, and collaboration with the finance team. Proficiency with payroll software and MS Office applications Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to respond to employee inquiries and work with cross-functional teams. Previous experience in payroll or accounting Relevant certification (e.g., PCP or equivalent) is an asset.
