Role Description The Solar Consultant role is a full-time, on-site position based in Edmonton, AB. The Solar Consultant will meet with residential and commercial customers to assess their energy needs, explain solar solutions, and prepare tailored proposals and quotes. Responsibilities include generating and qualifying leads, conducting site visits, coordinating with installation teams, and guiding customers through the project lifecycle from initial inquiry to post-installation follow-up. The role involves educating customers on system performance, available incentives, and financing options, while maintaining accurate records in CRM tools and contributing feedback to improve sales processes and customer experience. Qualifications Candidates should possess knowledge of the Solar Industry and Solar Power, including basic system components and benefits. Candidates should possess Lead Generation skills, including prospecting, networking, and follow-up. Candidates should possess strong Communication skills, including clear presentation and active listening abilities. Candidates should possess Customer Service skills, with a focus on building trust and long-term relationships. Experience in consultative or technical sales, particularly in renewable energy or electrical services, is beneficial. Ability to work on-site across the Edmonton area, conduct site assessments, and collaborate with installation teams. Comfort using CRM software, productivity tools, and basic data analysis to track leads and performance. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for customer visits and site evaluations. High school diploma required; post-secondary education in business, engineering, or a related field is an asset.
