Maintenance - Custodian / Facilities Handyperson Price Industries Limited is looking for an experienced Custodian / Facilities Handyperson to support the cleanliness, safety, and upkeep of our facilities. This position involves a combination of custodial work and light maintenance, including operating cleaning equipment, performing minor repairs, maintaining outdoor areas, and assisting with general facility services. The successful candidate will travel between two facilities, perform daily cleaning activities, respond to service requests, and assist with basic facility maintenance projects. Conditions of Employment: Valid driver's license required with personal means of transport. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg). Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling. Ability to work on ladders and perform tasks at varying heights. Ability to work in manufacturing environments with varying temperatures and noise levels. Capable of handling cleaning supplies and equipment safely. Qualifications High school diploma or GED equivalent education is considered an asset. 5-10 years of custodial, maintenance, janitorial, or building maintenance experience. Experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial environment is considered an asset. Basic knowledge of hand and power tools. Ability to safely operate floor scrubbers, sweepers, vacuums, and other cleaning equipment. Key Responsibilities Clean manufacturing areas, offices, lunchrooms, washrooms, and common spaces. Operate floor scrubbers, sweepers, and other cleaning equipment. Empty waste and recycling containers. Perform minor repairs such as changing light bulbs, replacing ceiling tiles, adjusting doors, assembling furniture, and basic painting. Assist maintenance personnel with non-trade work. Move furniture, equipment, and materials as required. Maintain outdoor areas, including snow removal and grounds maintenance. Respond to facility service requests and work orders. Ensure work areas remain safe, organized, and free from hazards. Skills & Competencies Strong attention to detail. Good organizational and housekeeping skills. Ability to work independently with limited supervision. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Positive, service-oriented attitude.
