We are a busy fertility clinic, the only one in all of Manitoba. We have been helping individuals achieve their dreams of family for more than 20 years. Your Role: Heartland Fertility and Gynecology Clinic is seeking a confident, professional, positive and experienced individual to join our team as a full time Clinic Nurse. The successful candidate will be the point of contact for all patients in the artificial reproductive program at the clinic providing information, support and empathy. Job Responsibilities: * Coordinate and care for patients and their partners/families who are receiving treatment in the various programs of the ART department. * Daily communication and collaboration with the teams in the clinic, including physicians, embryologists, andrologists, administration and management. * Patient teaching and education, through various media sources, written, verbal, virtual and in person. * Assist and perform various procedures in the clinic and the procedure room, such as IUIs and Egg retrievals. This includes but is not limited to IV insertion, blood draws, medication administration and patient education. * Communicate lab results with appropriate interpretation and explanation. * Support patients and families through the various ethical decisions that may be required through treatment at the clinic. * Provide emotional support and grief counselling to patients and families and provide resources for those in need. * Participate in continued education and professional development with the goal to continuously improve the program for patients and staff. * Maintains confidentiality and privacy. Skills: * Demonstrates critical thinking, problem solving and decision making. * Excellent computer skills and comfortable working with an EMR. * Excellent communication skills and clear, concise charting. * Ability to plan and track treatment cycles and schedule appointments accordingly. * Ability to work independently and efficiently in a team environment. * Demonstrated ability to respond to emergent situations. * Knowledge regarding providing a safe and inclusive environment to gender and sexual diverse patients and their families. * Committed to and passionate about patient centered care and an interest in reproductive science and care. Experience/Position Requirements: * Minimum 5 years of nursing experience, ideally with a focus on women’s health. * Must be registered with the Manitoba College of Registered Nurses or the College of Licensed Practical Nurses and in good standing. * Current BCLS * Current PHIA * Experience using EChart and EHub would be an asset. * Experience working with an EMR, preferably Accuro. * Ability to multitask while also focusing on details in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, preferably in women's health, and hold active registration with the Manitoba College of Registered Nurses or the College of Licensed Practical Nurses. Proficiency in EMR systems and current BCLS and PHIA certifications are required.
