We are currently seeking Journeyman and Apprentice Insulators to join our Fabrication Shops in Airdrie, AB. We offer day, evening, and weekend day shifts with excellent premiums for evening and weekend day shifts. Key Responsibilities: Journeyman and Apprentices: * Read and interpret drawings and specifications to determine insulation requirements and select type of insulation required. * Measure and cut insulating material to required dimensions using hand and power tools. * Apply and secure insulation using spraying, blowing, pasting, strapping, taping and other application and installation methods. * Fit insulation around obstructions and protrusions. * Install vapor barriers. * Apply waterproofing finishes over insulating materials to weatherproof surfaces. * Gives instructions and/or orders to apprentices to establish suitable goals, action plans, and timelines for project completion. Apprentice-specific: * Listen and be receptive to instructions and work to achieve set goals, action plans and timelines for project completion. * Apply knowledge and skills learned from coaches and mentors to ensure completion of the apprenticeship program. Qualifications: Journeyman-level: * Hold a valid recognized Alberta Journeyperson Trade Certificate, or a recognized trade certificate or equivalency document. * Inter-Provincial Red Seal Certificate is preferred. * 1-2 years of directly related work experience. * This position may be required to direct, coach, and mentor apprentices. Apprentice-level: * Be eligible for registration as a registered apprentice; or * Be a registered apprentice. * Motivated and willing to learn. **As a condition of employment, employees are required upon hire to sign a Drug-Free Workplace Agreement, a Conflict of Interest Agreement and Confidentiality and Invention Agreement. Requirements

Candidates must hold a valid Alberta Journeyperson Trade Certificate or be a registered apprentice. Applicants are expected to be motivated, willing to learn, and capable of working in a fabrication shop environment.
