We are currently seeking Journeyman Structural Welders to join our Fabrication Shops in Airdrie, AB. This is for our typical day shifts 4/10s. Key Responsibilities: * Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and specifications to determine layout requirements. * Read all types of welding symbols * Welding of all types of structural materials using FCAW and SMAW processes * Have valid CWB certification In FCAW to a least G3 Vertical position prior to start date * Fabricating skids supports platforms ladder stairs handrails etc. * Cutting gouging grinding of all types of structural materials * Setup operating and cleanup of equipment Saw Ironworker Welding Machine FCAW feeder etc. Qualifications: * Hold a valid recognized Alberta Journeyperson Trade Certificate, or a recognized trade certificate or equivalency document. * Inter-Provincial Red Seal Certificate is preferred. * 1-2 years of directly related work experience. * As a condition of employment, employees are required upon hire to sign a Drug-Free Workplace Agreement, a Conflict of Interest Agreement and Confidentiality and Invention Agreement. * This position may be required to direct, coach, and mentor apprentices. Requirements
Candidates must hold a valid recognized Alberta Journeyperson Trade Certificate or equivalent, possess 1-2 years of directly related work experience, and have valid CWB certification in FCAW to at least the G3 Vertical position before starting. Employment is conditional upon signing several company agreements, and the position may involve directing and coaching apprentices.
