Role Description The Industrial Mechanic is a full-time, on-site role based at PTI Cables Inc. Pointe-Claire, QC. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production machinery and equipment used in wire and cable manufacturing. Day-to-day tasks include performing preventive and corrective maintenance, diagnosing mechanical and basic electrical issues, and ensuring machines operate safely and efficiently to meet production targets. The Industrial Mechanic will collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime, document maintenance activities, and support continuous improvement initiatives. This role also involves following participating in equipment upgrades, and assisting with installation and setup of new machinery as needed. Qualifications Strong Maintenance & Repair and Maintenance skills, with experience maintaining industrial equipment in a manufacturing environment. Hands-on experience working with Machinery, including setup, adjustment, and troubleshooting of production lines. Background in the Industrial Sector, preferably in wire, cable, Plastic Extrusion or similar continuous-process manufacturing. Experience with Milling or other machining operations related to mechanical components and equipment parts. Relevant technical diploma, apprenticeship, or certification as an Industrial Mechanic or Millwright (or equivalent experience). Ability to use standard shop tools safely and effectively. Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented environment. Day-Shift position Monday to Friday , overtime + weekend work also available
